Al-Rafidain University College in Baghdad, Iraq, is pleased to invite researchers, academics, professionals and practitioners from all over the world to submit their original research papers to the 1st International Conference on Intelligent Systems and AI-Enhanced Networks (ISEN 2026). This conference will provide a global platform to showcase the latest research, innovative ideas and practical applications in the fields of AI and AI-Enhanced Networks. The conference will focus on the latest developments, challenges and opportunities in intelligent systems and their applications in modern networking technologies. We welcome papers that address the theoretical, experimental and applied aspects of AI and networks, with an emphasis on interdisciplinary approaches and emerging trends. Researchers are encouraged to submit their original, unpublished work that aligns with the conference themes. Submissions may cover, but are not limited to, the following areas:

  1. AI-Driven Network Optimization and Management
  • AI-based routing and traffic optimization in networks
  • Intelligent resource allocation in 5G/6G networks
  • Self-organizing networks (SONs) using machine learning
  • AI for network performance monitoring and fault detection
  • Energy-efficient network management using AI
  • AI for load balancing and congestion control
  1. AI-Enhanced Cybersecurity and Network Security

  • AI for threat intelligence and cyber-attack prediction
  1. Intelligent Internet of Things (IoT) and Edge Computing
  • AI for IoT device management and data processing
  • Federated learning in IoT networks
  • Edge AI for real-time decision-making
  • AI-enhanced IoT for smart cities and industrial applications
  • Security and privacy in AI-driven IoT systems
  • AI for IoT network scalability and interoperability

Authors submitting papers to ISEN 2026 must adhere to specific guidelines to ensure their work is accepted and published. The most common type of papers includes full papers (i.e. 12-15+ pages). Papers shorter than 4 pages are discouraged. Authors should use Springer’s LaTeX or Word templates to format their papers which could be downloaded from here . Authors must also ensure that their papers contain original research that has not been published or submitted elsewhere. Plagiarism and self-plagiarism are strictly prohibited where all accepted papers are checked to these ethical standards.

The submission process requires authors to use Springer’s templates and then submit a signed Consent-to-Publish form (after acceptance notification). Each paper must designate a corresponding author who will handle communication with ISEN 2026 chairs for the final version of the paper. The corresponding author must be clearly marked in the paper header and is responsible for signing the Consent-to-Publish form on behalf of all authors.

Papers’ Evaluation

All submitted papers will undergo a thorough, multi-phase review process conducted by an international panel of experts. Initially, a specialized review committee will assess each submission to ensure compliance with the conference’s formatting and submission guidelines. Once approved, the papers will be assigned to at least three independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. These reviewers will evaluate the work based on originality, scientific merit, practical significance, and clarity of presentation, providing detailed feedback that highlights strengths and suggests improvements. This rigorous process ensures that only high-quality research with meaningful contributions will be selected for presentation.

Following the initial review, authors may be required to revise their papers in response to reviewer feedback. Revised submissions will be reassessed to confirm that the necessary revisions have been made and that the paper meets the conference’s high standards. The final acceptance decision will be made by the program committee, considering both the reviewers’ recommendations and the paper’s alignment with the conference themes.
